Ofer sela General Manager
Sela began his path in the classical music scene as the General Manager of the Israel Sinfonietta Be'er Sheva which he led the to new and substantial accomplishments.
He held this position for 12 years.
As of August 2017, Ofer Sela has been General Manager of the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion.
One can see the fruits of his work in the orchestra.
His first important initiative was the appointment of Dan Ettinger as Music Director, concurrently with his musical directorship of the Israel Opera, thus creating a precedent in the Israeli classical music scene by applying the popular model of the great opera houses around the world.
This step will ensure the strengthening of the status of the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion as a world-class symphony orchestra.
In addition, Sela continues his educational and public activity with social and community ventures, from the local educational system in Rishon LeZion through musical collaborations with the Welfare Youth of the City, to the encouragement and promotion of classical music education.
